Our Digital Product License Terms

These License Terms govern the purchase, download, and use of digital audio products distributed through SLCBrands.com and affiliated properties operated by OstRich Records.

By purchasing or downloading any digital product, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Grant of License

Upon purchase, SLCBrands grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the digital audio file in accordance with the license tier selected at checkout.

All rights not expressly granted remain the sole property of OstRich Records and its licensors.

Ownership of the master recording and underlying composition is not transferred.

2. License Tiers

A. Standard License (Personal & DJ Performance Use)

The Standard License permits:

  • Live DJ performance in clubs, festivals, private events, and venues

  • Inclusion in non-monetized DJ mixes

  • Personal listening use

The Standard License does NOT permit:

  • Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or file sharing

  • Uploading to streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)

  • Use in film, television, advertising, or commercial sync projects

  • Minting as NFTs or blockchain distribution

  • Claiming ownership or registering the recording

Public performance royalties remain administered through applicable Performing Rights Organizations (PROs).

B. Professional Performance License (Commercial Event Use)

The Professional License includes all Standard License rights, plus:

  • Use in monetized livestream DJ sets

  • Use in branded ticketed events

  • Corporate and promotional event playback

The Professional License does NOT include:

  • Sync licensing rights (film, television, ads, games)

  • Rights to reproduce or distribute copies

  • Authority to sublicense the recording

Additional rights require a separate written agreement.

3. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All recordings, compositions, artwork, and associated branding are protected under U.S. and international copyright law.

Purchasing a digital product grants usage rights only.
It does not transfer:

  • Master ownership

  • Publishing ownership

  • Trademark rights

  • Mechanical reproduction rights

Unauthorized distribution constitutes copyright infringement.

4. Performance Rights & PRO Administration

Public performance royalties for qualifying events are administered by applicable Performing Rights Organizations (BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, etc.).

SLCBrands does not waive, assign, or transfer performance royalty claims through this license.

Venues and promoters are responsible for maintaining appropriate PRO licenses.

5. Restrictions

Licensees may not:

  • Share purchased files publicly or privately

  • Sell or transfer files to third parties

  • Reverse engineer or alter ownership metadata

  • Register content with Content ID systems

  • Use recordings in AI training datasets

Violation may result in immediate termination of license and legal action.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital goods, all sales are final unless required by applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

SLCBrands and OstRich Records shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the digital products.

Use is at purchaser’s discretion and risk.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which OstRich Records operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
